Old Spitalfields Market isn’t the only place to grab a quick bite of something mouth-wateringly tasty in the East End. Brick Lane is, in itself, a street food hub. Here’s some foody inspiration if you’re after something quick, hearty and delicious.
Brick Lane may be famous for its row of top-rated curry houses (and rightly so) – but it’s now earning a name for itself on the street food scene. Stalls are popping up everywhere, from Shoreditch High Street down to Aldgate East. Next time you’re hankering for lunch, head to one of our five favourites: Brick Lane Food Hall The Old Truman Brewery is Brick Lane’s creative quarter, and today it’s also a foodie hotspot thanks to Brick Lane Food Hall. It’s a delight. There are over 30 stalls, all chosen because they represent multi-cultural London. Take a trip around the world on your lunch breaks, from Morocco to Malaysia. If you’ve got a client meeting, take them out for a coffee at the food hall’s Brick Lane Café for a sit down somewhere lively. And why not pay the hall a visit in the evening for a drink at the Brick Lane Bar. Suvlaki Right at the top of Brick Lane, near Shoreditch High Street, you’ll find Suvlaki. It brings Greek street food to the East End of London with its delicious wraps and skewers. They do things properly here, with a robata-style grill and top quality, no chemical charcoal. Choose from corn-fed chicken, wild boar, spicy prawn, veggie options and more. Brick Lane Sunday Upmarket If you’re in Brick Lane on a Sunday, The Old Truman Brewery hosts another fabulous street food market in Ely’s Yard. There are yet more stalls serving food from across the globe, including an Indian Turkish fusion that you should really try. The Rib Man Another Sunday-only option, The Rib Man is a once-a-week treat – and what a feast it is. The former butcher sells rolls and wraps stuffed with top-quality meat sourced from outdoor reared pigs. You can also just get racks on their own. Get there early before it’s all gone. We currently have two coworking spaces in East London, with two more soon to join in Shoreditch. Our Princelet Street space benefits from a roof terrace with views across to the Old Truman Brewery chimney, making it the ultimate place to enjoy your lunch break. Check out our full portfolio here.
