Fora presents: Accent Softening for Business, with City AcademyFree
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WILL BE A SMALL, PRACTICAL GROUP SESSION AND PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE MICROPHONES AND VIDEOS TURNED ON.
Do you feel that your accent makes it difficult to communicate clearly? Do people often ask you to repeat yourself? Do you worry that you aren’t communicating your ideas as effectively as you could be?
This practical Accent Softening for Business workshop will offer some quick tips and techniques to help you find greater clarity in your speech by softening or neutralising your accent. This workshop is designed especially for non-native English speakers looking to modify the way they speak for professional or personal reasons.
Working in an encouraging group setting you’ll practise the vowel and consonant sounds of the neutral British accent of Received Pronunciation (RP) and learn some vocal exercises. To get the most from the session you will be requested to have cameras and microphones turned on.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Each workshop focuses on a particular skill for business professionals and will offer quick-fire communication techniques to suit the group. We provide the tools to embed these practical techniques immediately. The sessions will be interactive in nature. As the sessions are focused on communication skills, participants will be required to switch on their microphone and camera. This way the tutor will be able to give personalised feedback in a constructive and positive framework.
