Description

Exploring fashion, supply chains and global justice with Extinction Rebellion

Terra{Fora} is a journey towards sustainability - not only a bold statement of our commitment to the environment, but also a joyful celebration of our power to effect change.

• 6pm doors open for in person attendance

• 6.30pm – 7.30pm live-streamed panel

• Customise your wares with the XR Art Blockers

Extinction Rebellion do not make any merchandise as they believe there is too much stuff in the world already, they block print on existing clothes and bags. The XR Art Blockers will be at this event so please feel free to bring something along that you would like to get printed. More details on art blocking here.

Global justice is the recognition that the current global order benefits the few at the expense of the many. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the climate crisis, in which those who have contributed the least emissions are also those currently on the frontline of its impact.

In this event, Extinction Rebellion co-founder Clare Farrell, Chief Executive Officer of Ashden Harriet Lamb CBE, founder of People Tree Safia Minney MBE and social entrepreneur Kalkidan Legesse discuss issues of Global Justice as manifested through the fashion supply chain - and what approaches can be used to address a system that affects everyone - from shoppers to influencers, from garment workers to cotton farmers - alike.

Benefits of attending:

- Learn what a fashion supply chain means and how it can be ethical

- Discuss solutions for rebalancing the supply chain and why it matters

- Address the culture of overconsumption and destruction and its impact on communities

- Get inspired by sustainable fashion experts and environmental activists on how to use your power to affect change.
