Human Resources Assistant

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for delivering a generalist HR support service to staff and managers across a range of departments. Advising managers and staff on HR policies, processes and procedures.

Provide and develop all necessary administration which includes offers of employment, on-boarding, running reports, dealing with general HR queries to enable the HR function to successfully deliver a range of services to our teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all incoming CV’s and responding to applicants in a timely manner
  • Support the creation and maintenance of Job Descriptions
  • Prepare training plan and necessary onboarding documentation for new starters
  • Arranging compliance training in line with legal requirements for new starters and current employees
  • Responsible for maintaining all HR records (absence, ER records, employment changes)
  • Employee benefits administration and maintenance
  • Manage training calendar and track employee training
  • Assist with updating policies in line with legislation changes
  • First point of contact for administrative and straightforward HR Policy queries
Skills/Experience 
  • Previous experience in an HR assistant role
  • Experience in a hospitality business preferential
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to use your initiative with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills
  • First class customer service skills
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Competent user of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience using HR Systems
  • Basic knowledge of Employment Law
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Willingness to learn
