Yoga for Cyclists with 3 Tribes
Yoga for Cyclists with 3 Tribes

Yoga for Cyclists with 3 Tribes Please note that the class will close 5 MINUTES after the start time to allow Ude to demonstrate What is the class? A yoga class suitable for all levels, designed to support your cycling by: Building cycle-specific strength and stability Increasing flexibility in cycle-specific muscle groups Helping you develop a strong core and back for a stable upper body Helping to reduce pain and discomfort from long stints in the saddle Speeding up recovery time through the practice of breath work Helping to prevent and avoid injuries Why is yoga so good for cyclists? When we cycle, our bodies are forced into a somewhat unusual position by pushing power through the pedals whilst also being bent forward over the handlebars. As a result, cyclists commonly experience tight hip flexors, not to mention neck, shoulder and back strain. As many yoga poses are designed to target the hip flexors and lower back (as well as developing muscle strength and stability), yoga is particularly good for dealing with these cycling-specific issues. Yoga’s focus on breath work; learning how to control and steady the breath also translates brilliantly to cycling, especially during hard efforts when aerobic efficiency is so important. * In booking a ticket, you are opting into the Fora Events mailing list.
