In 2018, the world watched as twelve boys and their football coach were rescued from deep inside the flooded Tham Luang cave in Thailand.

This rare in‑conversation brings us face to face with John Volanthen, one of the British cave divers at the heart of the rescue. John will reflect on what it’s really like to operate in total darkness, make decisions under extreme pressure and rely on absolute trust when there’s no margin for error.

Going beyond the headlines, he’ll share the human side of the story, and what years of cave rescue have taught him about calm leadership, preparation and responsibility.

The evening will finish with a live Q&A and drinks, with plenty of time to continue the conversation.
