Thank you for your message, someone from the team will be in touch very soon.
When you’re in need of a pick-me-up or a smart place to meet a client, Reading has you covered with its many coffee shops. Here are the ones we’ve come to really appreciate since we set up offices in Thames Tower.
For a really good cup, you can always rely on Workhouse. It has become something of a Reading institution, with two branches now in the town – the nearest one to our Thames Toweroffice is on King Street by the Mercure Hotel.
Like Workhouse, CUP is doing very well in Reading and how has two shops. The one on Blagrave Street is just a two-minute walk from our Thames Toweroffice. Head over for a quick breather to enjoy a rich cup either outside or in its stripped-back setting. With plenty of seating, it’s also a good setting for a meeting.
Another failsafe is Anonymous Coffee – a small, artisanal shop that works with independent UK roasters. Everything is hand crafted, so it’s all made with love, and you can grab a takeaway guilt-free because they use compostable packaging. Find them in the Tasting House, just a 10-minute walk into town from Reading Station.
If you’re after a quick takeaway cup, Tamp Culture is a great option. This pop-up coffee shop has two types of coffee beans on offer every day, and they’ll make all the usual favourites, from americanos to lattes. It’s on the corner of Gun Street and Minister Street, so really handy as a pick-me-up if you’re making your way from Reading Stationto a meeting across town.
If you’re based in Reading – or have got the time to go for a wander – try out Café Yolk. It’s a firm local favourite, especially for its brunches (if you want to really indulge). It’s just out of town, so works well if you’ve got a meeting with someone who’d like to meet away from the town centre for easier parking.
Our flexible workspace in Thames Tower, right by Reading Station, is in the ideal location for meetings across town and in Central London. Come and have a look around whenever you’re in the area.
