Creative Change Makers
5-8 February 2020

This conference is your chance to make a real difference to people’s lives. Collaborate with other creatives as you find ways to better impact the environment and mental health and wellbeing. You’ll also find out how creative initiatives are making change for good.

 

Mary Quant
Open until 16 February 2020

Design events come in all shapes and sizes, and this one could be a treat for a team outing or a catch-up with a friend. Head to the V&A Museum before 16 February 2020 and you can peruse works by Mary Quant, a key fashion designer who influenced the 1960s Mod movement.

See the mini-skirts, hot pants and vibrant makeup for yourself, including unseen pieces, photographs and drawings. In Quant’s own words, “The whole point of fashion is to make fashionable clothes available to everyone”, and this exhibition is a celebration of all the joy she brought to streets of London in the 60s.

 

The UX Conference
2-3 March 2020

If UX is your thing, this is the event for you. This year, The UX Conference is all about the importance of collaboration in UX and how to get on the same level of different stakeholders. Speakers from the likes of Dyson, Transport for London and Government Digital Service will be sharing their findings from working on various projects.

 

Clerkenwell Design Week
19-21 May 2020

You’ll discover just why this area of London is the hub of creativity at Clerkenwell Design Week. With more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else in the world, Clerkenwell is a place to celebrate – and this design event does it to a grand scale.

You can wander around a number of exhibitions that showcase leading concepts. There are also talks to attend, where industry leaders share their experiences and visions for design. As two of our Foras are in this area, we love getting involved with Clerkenwell Design Week. It’s the best excuse to network and bounce your ideas off others. New Designers
1-4 & 8-11 July 2020

Not all design events are about industry leaders – this one celebrates the new talent on the block. See the work of over 3,000 graduates – There will be textiles, graphics, ceramics, costumes, illustrations, products and much more to explore. You could find a potential recruit for your business or simply be inspired by some novel thinking.

 

London Design Festival
12-20 September 2020

London can teach the world a lot about design. And this event sets the standards high for what creativity and design is all about. Across London, you’ll find creative compositions from the worlds of fashion, interiors, art, crafts and more.

Don’t miss the Legacy project. You’ll see works that world-renowned designers feel have personal or professional relevance to them. It’s hosted by the V&A Museum – an inspiring place in itself.
